Haise Yip

Alto

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Haise discovered her passion for music through training with the Hong Kong Children’s Choir and undertaking classical piano studies from a young age. Throughout her school years, she was actively involved in choirs, ensembles, musical productions, and piano competitions.

Now based in Brisbane, Haise is studying Science and Arts at The University of Queensland, majoring in Bioinformatics, Linguistics, and Psychology, while continuing to nurture her love for music. Since 2024, she has been studying the classical voice under the guidance of distinguished tenor and conductor Kevin Gomez. She has performed in the 2025 Queensland Vocal Competition Festival and the 2025 Queensland Eisteddfod, where she was awarded 3rd prize in the Youth Vocal Championship.

As a chorister at the Queensland University Musical Society, Haise has enjoyed singing in concerts, ANZAC services, and carolling performances. She has also extended her musical interests through taiko drumming with the UQ Taiko team, participating in a range of workshops and public performances.

Haise has truly enjoyed working with The Chronicle Singers in the Come Emmanuel Concert Series in 2025 and is delighted to continue growing as an ensemble singer while sharing music with such an accomplished group of artists.
