Charlotte Wright – Biography
Charlotte Wright is an emerging Soprano in the world of opera and classical music. Her passion for music ignited during childhood as she participated in community choirs, orchestras, and local musical theatre and opera productions. Upon completing her Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (First Class Honours) in 2019, Charlotte moved to London where she began her vocal training with Marcus Van Dan Akker at the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) under scholarship and collaborated with Head of Voice, Kate Paterson, and vocal studies teacher, Raymond Connell. Charlotte went on to learn from Margaret Schindler at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University where she completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) in 2024 and Diploma of languages (Italian) in June 2025. Charlotte is thrilled be undertaking her Masters in Performance (Opera) which she commenced in July 2025, continuing her journey in the world of opera. Charlotte also volunteers with the Music team at her Wishart Catholic Parish where she regularly assists with music for worship.
Alongside her music pursuits, Charlotte works as an Electrical Engineer for Squared Electrical where she designs and constructs 5MW solar farms.
Charlotte is so excited to be a part of the Chronicle Singers for 2026 after a wonderful 2025 season with the ensemble. She is looking forward to the opportunity to continue to work with a passionate group of voices, grow artistically, and contribute to a vibrant choral community.
