Philomena Hoger
Soprano
Philomena Hoger is a light-coloratura soprano who recently graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium with a Bachelor of Music in performance.
Philomena has a love for both choral and operatic music. Her career launched in 2019, when she had the opportunity to represent Australia at Villers Bretonneux France, for the ANZAC Day Memorial Service, with The Voices of Birralee. Philomena has performed in a number of operatic shows at the Queensland conservatorium such as Iolanthe and Orpheus in the underworld. Most notably, she played a key role as Gheradino in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi in 2024. Philomena works in artistic planning with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, where she gets to enjoy orchestral music in all forms.
