Artistic Director, Music Director
Kevin is a Brisbane-based conductor, tenor, and vocal specialist whose work spans choral performance, opera, and arts leadership. He trained in conducting at the University of the Philippines, performing regularly with leading ensembles including the Ateneo Chamber Singers and Villancico Vocal Ensemble, and serving as Music Director for the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mt Carmel and the Ateneo Resident Students Association Chorale.
After moving to Australia, Kevin completed a Master of Music Studies in Opera Performance at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (July 2024), studying with Dr Margaret Schindler. He sings with the St Stephen’s Cathedral Choir and serves as the Cathedral’s Vocal Specialist.
As Artistic Director and Music Director of The Chronicle Singers, Kevin shapes the ensemble’s artistic vision—curating repertoire and themes, guiding the choir’s sound and style in rehearsal and performance, and leading the storytelling and communications that bring each project to life.

Maddie Stephens
Madeleine (she/her) is a soprano, actor, and director with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from WAAPA and a postgraduate diploma in Educational Studies from QUT (2024). With experience across opera, theatre, and independent production—including award-winning work at Perth FRINGE WORLD—she brings both artistic flair and serious organisational muscle to the team. As Executive Producer for The Chronicle Singers, Maddie manages membership records and contracts, coordinates venues and insurance, supports marketing and creative partnerships, and leads the producer team in delivering our projects smoothly and professionally.

Imogen Bye
Imogen is a Brisbane-based singer and voice teacher. She works as a school choir director across Brisbane and sings with The Chronicle Singers, alongside her role as Soprano Choral Scholar in Saint Andrew’s Uniting Church in collaboration with Musica Viva Australia. As our Assistant Music Director and Producer, Imogen supports rehearsals and repertoire work while also helping drive communications, admin, and marketing across the organisation.
Assistant Music Director, Producer
Sophia Mortensen is a versatile mezzo-soprano whose work spans opera, jazz, and neo-soul—equally at home on the theatrical stage as she is in intimate live settings. Alongside her performance career, Sophia serves as The Chronicle Singers’ Artist Liaison and Producer, managing member communications, attendance, and feedback, and helping keep a clear, supportive connection between the ensemble and the artistic committee.
